A vintage 1970's Waltham self-winding wristwatch, featuring a Swiss-made, 25 jewel A.Schild 1916 quickset calendar movement that has been inspected and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This Waltham features a high-end, 25 jewel A.S. 1916 movement with day/date features. Press the crown in to advance the date; no more endless winding to adjust the calendar! The case is comparable to modern watches, measuring 33.5mm (excluding the crown) and is in very good condition. The dial has a light patina and is well-preserved beneath the newly installed G-S acrylic crystal. The gold applique indices match the quintessentially 1970's club hands. The red arrow-tipped sweep second hand adds a bit of flair. The stainless steel caseback is in good condition, with light to average age wear.
The 21,600 a/h movement is clean and highly accurate, averaging +/-10 seconds per day. The automatic assembly quietly winds the watch for you while you wear it, though occasional winding via the crown is both safe and encouraged. The watch comes with new US-made genuine leather lizard grain bands in a rich mahogany hue that compliments the case nicely.
