A 1957 Bulova 23 men's automatic watch. The high end, US made 23 jewel 10BPAC movement has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This B23 is a classic Fifties head-turner! With its white sunburst textured dial, 10K RGP case, and bold, gothic lugs, the 1957 B23 is instantly recognizable to any collector. The case (30.8mm excluding the crown) is in fair condition, with light to average age wear. The pale, off-white dial is exceptionally well preserved beneath the polished crystal. All dial print is crisp and clear, the hands are a lovely reflective gold with a matching sweep second hand. The triple signed watch bears matching date codes and the crown winds and sets easily. There is notable age wear to the case reverse, however it's not visible when worn.
The movement has clearly been looked after over the decades. With a healthy amplitude, the B23 is highly accurate to say the least! The automatic assembly quietly winds the watch for you while you wear it and the watch is extremely comfortable on the wrist. The watch comes on new old-stock lizard calf genuine leather bands in a deep mahogany hue that accents the case finish nicely.
The '57 Bulova 23 is a perennial favorite and it's easy to see why; from the cat-eared gold case, to the pale white dial, to the high-end 23 jewel movement, this B23 will quickly find a spot in your rotation!
