A 1950's Benrus men's watch, featuring a 17 jewel Benrus BA2 movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This eye catching Benrus is in exceptional shape for its age! The polished, gold plated case has light to average age wear. The fancy lugs are a nice touch, lending a fluid contour to the wrist. The pale, cream hued dial is in good condition, all print is legible and gold Alpha hands clearly mark the time. The stainless steel caseback has only light age wear and it snaps firmly shut to the case, as it should.
The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets effortlessly. The BA2 movement is based on the venerable ETA 900 workhorse. It has clearly been looked after over the decades. Regulated in positions with a high amplitude, the watch keeps time accurately, as you'd expect. The watch comes on vintage lizard grain leather bands in a deep mahogany hue that accents the case nicely. Overall, this is a devilishly handsome mid-century Benrus that would look perfect peeking out from beneath the cuff.
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly.
