An impeccably preserved 1929 Bulova "Lone Eagle" men's watch, featuring a 15 jewel 10AN movement that has been inspected, serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
First offered in 1927 to commemorate Charles Lindbergh's nonstop transatlantic flight, the Bulova "Lone Eagle" was one of the most popular watches of the Twenties. The white gold filled case (26.8mm excluding the crown) is in extra-fine condition, with intricate engraving encompassing the entire bezel. The dial is in great condition for its age, the blue steel cathedral hands are gorgeous, and the large Arabic numerals are easy to read from a distance. A brand new acrylic crystal was installed during the overhaul and it places that dial on full display. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets effortlessly. The caseback looks as though it's never been worn. Remove the caseback to reveal a presentation window over the movement!
The 10AN workhorse movement is keeping time accurately, with a healthy amplitude it's ready to go for years. The "Lone Eagle" was the OG Bulova, and this one is in incredible condition for being nearly a century old. It's bound to make one collector very happy indeed!
