A 1975 Caravelle (by Bulova) calendar watch, featuring a Swiss-made A. Schild 2064 movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
With its oversized TV case (40.smm!) and its sky blue dial, this Caravelle leaves no doubt as to when it was made! Unabashedly Seventies, it demands attention on your wrist. The case is in good condition, with notable wear and brassing around the edges. The dial, however, is pristine beneath the hand-polished crystal. The baton indices and white enameled club hands contrast nicely against the dial and all branding is crisp and legible.
The surprisingly complex AS 2064 movement keeps time accurately with a high amplitude and low beat error. It also utilizes a quickset date complication; pull the crown into the second position and wind forward and backward to advance the day and date. A convenience normally reserved for higher-end watches! The caseback is in good condition. The signed crown has obvious brassing, but it has ample grip and the watch winds and sets easily.
The Caravelle comes on vintage genuine leather bands with the old-school oversized strap keeper. Seventies to the core, this well-loved Caravelle is an exceptional statement piece and an unerring timekeeper. Don't miss this chance to add an incredible blue dial to your collection!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
