A vintage 1970s Croton Troparctic watch, featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel A. Schild 1951 movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
One of the rarest Croton models, this Troparctic has been vey well cared for over the decades! The case (31mm excluding the crown) has average age wear for a Seventies watch. The pale, linen-textured dial is in fine condition; the Croton 1878 logo and Troparctic designation are crisply legible. The quintessentially 1970's silver and black pinstriped club hands match their hour markers. The red enameled sweep second hand adds a bit of pop. The crown has plenty of grip and it winds and sets easily.
This workhorse AS 1951 movement is clean and properly lubricated. With a high amplitude and low beat error, this Troparctic is highly accurate to say the least! The date clicks over at midnight and can be quickset by cycling from 8pm to midnight.
The Croton comes on genuine lizard calf leather bands by Kreisler. You don't find many Troparctic models these days and, when you do, they're rarely this well preserved. Don't miss this chance to add one to your collection!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
