With its gold square case and glimmering red dial, this Senator leaves no doubt as to when it was made! Unabashedly Seventies, it demands attention on your wrist. The case is in good condition, with light to average brassing in spots and the usual minor shearing along the caseback. That incredible dial is well-preserved beneath the brand new crystal. Applique Roman numeral indices alternate with gold pyramids. The Bulova logo and all designations are clearly legible on the dial. The gold club hands are in fine condition and the day and date window at 3 o'clock is easily readable from a distance.
Inside, the 11AOACB movement keeps time accurately with a high amplitude and low beat error. It also utilizes a quickset date complication; pull the crown out beyond the second position and the date clicks over. No more endless winding! The weighted rotor winds the watch for you while you wear it, but winding of the crown is both safe and occasionally encouraged. The caseback has a very faded inscription, it's barely visible but bears mentioning.
The Senator comes on new black leather rally bands, lightly padded with red stitching by StrapsCo. They perfectly accent the dial and are very comfortable on the wrist. Overall, this product of Seventies excess is an exceptional statement piece and an unerring timekeeper. Don't miss this chance to add an incredible red dial to your collection!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
