A vintage 1970s Croton Aquamatic selfwinding men's watch, featuring a Swiss-made A. Schild 2066 quickset calendar movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This handsome Aquamatic sports a polished silver Batman case (35.3mm excluding the crown). There is minor age wear to the bezel with light pitting to the sides. The silver-to-grey gradient dial is in fine condition, beautifully preserved beneath the polished acrylic crystal. The silver and white pinstriped hands match the indices, a subtle yet classy detail. The crown has plenty of grip and it winds and sets easily.
This Aquamatic utilizes an A.S. 2066 self-winding quickset calendar movement usually reserved for higher-end watches. Pull the crown out to the first position and wind forward to advance the date or backward to advance the day; no more endless winding to adjust the calendar! The automatic assembly quietly winds the watch for you while you wear it. With a healthy amplitude, the 21,600 v/h movement is highly accurate to say the least!
The watch comes on new, old stock vintage 20mm lizard grain leather bands with the old school, oversized strap keeper. Overall, this Aquamatic has been around the block a few times, but it's gained a charm that only comes through experience. Serviced and regulated, it's ready for whatever comes next!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
