This is one highly accurate late-Sixties Senator! The polished gold case is in good condition for its age, with light to average age wear. The dial has a faint patina, the center field is clean and the raised Arabic indices are a lovely reflective gold. The polished Alpha hands match the case hue perfectly. The crystal is quite unique; it has a diamond beveled inner edge. Clean and clear, it catches the sun and naturally draws the eye to the watch.
The crown has plenty of grip and it winds and sets effortlessly. The stainless caseback has average age wear and it snaps tightly to the case, as it should.
The 11AF movement has an average amplitude of 300° and is accurate to +/-10 seconds per day. It's a wonderfully designed movement with a low profile and a solid power reserve. The Senator comes on a pair of brand new leather bands in a rich mahogany hue that accents the case nicely. Overall, this Summer of Love Senator would make a fine daily driver.
