A vintage 1966 Bulova Wrist Alarm watch, featuring a 17 jewel Bulova 11AERC movement that has been serviced and regulated to ensure accuracy.
This Bulova Wrist Alarm watch is in incredible condition for its age. The polished stainless steel case is in very good condition, with light to minor age wear. The dial has a faint robin's egg patina on pale silver with matching pitched Dauphine hand. The unmistakable squiggly blued steel alarm hand matches the sweep second hand as well. The Bulova signature and Wrist Alarm designation are perfectly preserved beneath the brand new crystal.
The winding and alarm crown are both signed, have ample grip, and they wind and set nicely. The watch keeps time quite accurately with a high amplitude. The 11AERC is an incredibly sophisticated movement design that utilizes one mainspring to power both the watch and the alarm complication. Directions for use will accompany the watch.
The Bulova comes on new brown leather bands with white stitching, they accent the case nicely. All told, this is an unmistakably Sixties Bulova, one of the last mechanical alarm watches made before the quartz crisis drained the heart and soul of the watch industry.
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
