1965 Mido Multistar Automatic Calendar Watch

A 1965 Mido Multistar automatic calendar watch with a new genuine Mido crystal installed. Featuring a 17 jewel calibre 1147OCD movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.

This Mido Multistar has been completely overhauled and looks spectacular! The jumbo case (37.5mm excluding the SIGNED crown) is in very good condition, with light to average age wear. It is clean, lightly polished, and incorporates a unique combination of screwback and front-load design. The dial is incredibly pristine, the Mido logo, "Multistar" designation, and calendar features are all clean and crisply legible. Angled applique indices perfectly match the silver and black club hands.

During the overhaul, a brand new, genuine Mido-signed crystal was installed using the correct T13 wrench, NOT a standard crystal lift (see last photo). The signed crown is partially recessed, keeping it out of harm's way. The calendar has a quickset date feature; simply press the crown and the date will advance. No more endless winding!

Inside, the cal. 1147OCD automatic movement is clean and properly lubricated. The automatic assembly was integrated into the time train on this movement, allowing for a lower profile movement. Operating at 19,800 v/h with a healthy amplitude, it keeps time with great accuracy, as you'd expect. The watch comes on new, padded and stitched black leather bands. The bands are 18mm and are on the long side, ideally suited for a larger wrist. No effort or expense was spared in overhauling this Multistar. With its mint dial and brand new crystal, its incredibly innovative automatic assembly design, and its clever quickset date, this Mido is the perfect daily wear watch.
