A 1961 Bulova 23 men's men's watch. The high end, US made 23 jewel 10BZC movement has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
Ever seen a B23 in this condition? I sure haven't! With its incredibly minty vertically striped dial, brilliantly lumed gold Alpha hands, and 10K rolled gold plated one-piece case, this B23 is an absolute knockout. The case (32.7mm excluding the crown) is in very good condition, with light age wear. The incredible white textured dial is exceptionally well preserved beneath the polished crystal. All dial print is crisp and clear, and those Alpha hands look as though they were made yesterday. The triple signed watch bears matching date codes and the crown winds and sets well. There is the faintest bit of wear to the case reverse, however it's not visible while on the wrist and is only aesthetic.
The movement has clearly been looked after over the decades. With a healthy amplitude and a nominal beat error of 0.4ms, the B23 is highly accurate to say the least! The B23 comes on brown genuine leather bands in a deep mahogany hue that accents the case finish nicely.
To find a manual winding Bulova 23 is very uncommon; to find one in this condition is beyond rare. This B23 is going to make one Bulova collector absolutely over the moon.
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly.
