A handsome early 1960's Zodiac "Glorious" men's wristwatch, featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel Zodiac 1361 automatic movement. The watch has been inspected and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
Here's an uncommon Zodiac Glorious, reference number 688 in stainless steel! The case measures 33.6mm wide excluding the crown. The dial is pristine, with a black textured center. The 688 utilized hour markers on a separate ring that rests on the cream colored portion of the outer dial. It stands out from the crowd, to be sure! A brand new Germanow-Simon acrylic crystal has been installed and it looks fantastic, placing that incredible dial on full display.
The caseback screws down tightly, as it should. Inside, the 17 jewel Swiss-made cal. 1361 movement is clean and keeps accurate time. The watch comes on new-old stock 18mm US-made genuine leather bands. They are comfortable, accent the case tone nicely., and have a matching silver tone buckle and oversized, old-school strap keeper. One of Zodiac's lesser known models, the Glorious is well loved by collectors. This one is in exceptional condition and will make one lucky collector very happy indeed!
