A 1960's Tissot Visodate Seastar Seven men's watch, featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel calibre 782-1 movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This Tissot is a bit like a mullet; business in the front, party in the back. The gold plated case (34.0mm excluding the crown) is in good condition with average age wear. The brushed dial is in very good condition and is well-protected beneath the scratch-free crystal. The gold, applique Tissot "T" and all other dial designations are clean and crisply legible. The gold Index hands stand out in stark contrast to the silvertone dial and the baton indices easily mark the time at a glance. The date clicks over at midnight precisely, as it should. I truly cannot overstate just how clean and minty the dial is on this Tissot.
The signed crown is in very good condition and it winds and sets easily. Inside, the cal. 782-1 movement is exceptionally accurate with amplitude to spare. The case reverse has seen better days; there is substantial shearing on the back. The caseback remains snapped in place, and the shearing isn't visible while wearing the watch, but it should be noted. The Tissot comes on black, genuine leather lizard grain bands that accent the case perfectly. Overall, this Tissot Seastar has clearly been well-loved over the decades. It's exceptionally accurate and devastatingly handsome on the front. If you can look beyond the wear to the back, you can add a vintage Seastar Seven to your collection for a fraction of their usual price!
