This stunning Lord Elgin is a true head turner. The case is in excellent condition, it's clean, lightly polished stainless steel. The dial deserves a paragraph of its own! Pale cream with silver applique signature. The "25" and Automatic designations are all clearly legible in black print. The silver pitched Dauphine hands are also in excellent condition, not a single speck of lume is missing. The date clicks snappily over at midnight, as it should.
The Schild 1674 movement was introduced in 1960. It's a well-designed movement, robust and highly accurate. The 25 jewel Lord model was one of Elgin's higher-end offerings. Overall, this is a smart, tidy bit of early 1960's styling that would look great peeking out from beneath the cuff.
