This vintage alarm watch is in incredible condition for its age. The polished case is in very good condition, with light to average age wear. The dial is pristine, both the Helbros signature and the Alarm designation are perfectly preserved. The red gold Alpha hands are easy to read from a distance and not one speck of lume is missing. This dial has 15, 30, and 45 minute intervals clearly marked, allowing you to set your alarm with greater accuracy, a feature that is missing from nearly all other alarm watches. A new acrylic crystal was installed during the overhaul, keeping that perfect dial safe for decades to come.
The winding and alarm crown have adequate grip, and they wind and set nicely. The watch keeps time quite accurately with a high amplitude, as you'd expect. As a bonus, the original case, booklets, and even the price tag ($987.00 in today's dollars) accompany the watch! The Helbros comes on new brown leather bands with white stitching, they accent the case nicely. All told, this is an amazingly well preserved full-kit Helbros Alarm Watch, one of the finest mechanical alarms ever made.
