A vintage 1959 Bulova 23 "DAW" wristwatch. The high end, US made 23 jewel 10BZAC movement has been inspected, serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
The late-1950s were a banner period for Bulova, with many of the era's models setting the standard for decades to come. With its silver LP-textured sunburst dial and polished 10k RGP case, this B23 is a real head-turner. The case is in good condition, with light to average age wear. The clean, white dial print is crisp and clear, the pitched Alpha hands are a lovely reflective silver,
and the sweep second hand is as well.
The 10BZAC movement has clearly been well cared for over the decades. With a high amplitude and low beat error, it is exceptionally accurate as you'd expect. All date codes match on this triple signed watch, the crown winds and sets easily, and the automatic assembly quietly winds the watch for you while you wear it. The B23 comes on black leather bands that accent the case nicely.
This '59 Bulova 23 "DAW" would make a perfect introduction for someone looking to get into higher jewel count, automatic watches. It's reasonably priced, highly accurate, and a perfect daily driver!
