A vintage 1958 Omega Automatic watch, featuring a calibre 600 self-winding movement that has been inspected and regulated to ensure accuracy.
What a find! The serial on this handsome Omega dates it to 1958. The 10k gold filled case (34.5mm excluding the crown) was made for Omega by the Ross Case Company. It is in very good condition; clean, lightly polished, and rather robust. The dial is extremely clean, with only a faint eggshell patina. The original hands are a lovely gold, and the crystal is clear and 99% blemish free. The crown has plenty of grip and it winds and sets effortlessly. There is light age wear to the stainless steel caseback primarily from opening the case over the years, but it's not visible while on the wrist and doesn't affect integrity.
Inside, the calibre 500 movement is clean and has clearly been well cared for over the decades. The automatic assembly quietly winds the watch while you wear it. The Omega has been timegrapher regulated and is keeping time quite accurately, as you'd expect. The watch comes on its original Omega beads of rice bracelet, which is gold plated stainless steel, 20 microns. It has light to average age wear, is clean, and lightly polished.
