A 1957 Bulova Senator, featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel 11AC movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated.
This triple-signed Senator has been very well cared for over the decades! The 10k rolled gold plated case (27.5mm excluding the crown) is in very good condition with only the faintest age wear. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. The dial has a faint patina, with a deep silver central field surrounded by pale cream, reflective gold numerals and arrowhead markers. The Bulova logo is crisp and bold and the Dauphine hands are a lovely polished gold. The crystal has been polished and only a few minor imperfections remain.
The 11AC movement is highly accurate, with a healthy amplitude it keeps excellent time. The caseback is in good condition with average age wear and all date codes match. The watch comes on black genuine leather bands with a matching gold buckle. With its uniquely scalloped case and stand-out dial, this handsome Senator is a wonderful example of late-Fifties 5th Avenue design; effortlessly stylish and exceptionally accurate.
