A vintage 1955 Bulova "Royal Lancer" men's automatic watch, featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel Bulova 10CBAC movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
One of the rarer models of the Fifties, this "Royal Lancer" is an absolute stunner! The polished, rolled gold plated case (31.0mm excluding the crown) is in fine condition, with light to average age wear. The distinctive seashell lugs are the hallmark of the Royal Lancer. The two-tone hourglass dial has a lovely, faint patina that is well preserved beneath the brand new crystal I installed during the overhaul. The signed crown has ample grip and it winds and sets easily.
Inside, the 10CBAC movement is clean and properly lubricated. With a healthy amplitude and low beat error, it keeps time with great accuracy. The automatic assembly quietly winds the watch for you while you wear it, though occasional hand-winding is both safe and encouraged.
The caseback is in fine condition and all date codes match. The Lancer comes on brown, genuine leather bands with a gold buckle that accents the case nicely. Classic Fifties design and Fifth Avenue style combine in this highly uncommon model; don't miss your chance to grab a Royal Lancer while you can!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
