A handsome 1954 Bulova "Director" men's wristwatch, featuring a 15 jewel 10BT movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
One of the most iconic models of the 1950's, the Bulova Director is easily identifiable by its distinctive lugs. This one is running like a top, thanks to the new, alloy mainspring that was just installed. The 10k RGP case (25.8mm by 27.1mm excluding crown and lugs) is in very good shape, with light to average age wear. The dial is in exceptionally fine condition for its age, all numerals are a lovely reflective gold, the minute track is unmarred, and all dial print is crisp and legible. The crystal is aged but clear and places that lovely dial on full display.
The steel caseback is in fine condition and it snaps firmly to the case, as it should. The 10BT movement is quite accurate and has a healthy amplitude. The Director comes on brown genuine leather bands with a matching gold buckle that accents the case nicely. Overall, this Director is still calling the shots and the workhorse movement is ready to keep time for generations to come.
