The Bulova "Jordan" model was made for only one year: 1953. Finding one in such fine condition today is uncommon, to say the least. This one has a 10k rolled gold plated case (29.0mm excluding the crown) that is in very good condition, with no visible brassing and light age wear. The fancy knotted lugs that are the hallmark of the Jordan are in very good condition. The desirable pie pan dial has a very faint eggshell patina that is well-preserved beneath the scratch-free crystal. The uniquely 1950's indices and pitched Dauphine hands are a lovely reflective gold to match the case. The photos don't do this watch justice, it has to be seen to be appreciated!
The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. The matching caseback is in also very good condition and it snaps tightly to the case as it should. The workhorse 10BT movement keeps time very accurately; with a healthy amplitude and low beat error, it's ready for the next stretch. The Jordan comes on new, brown lizard grain leather bands with a matching gold buckle. This one shot Jordan model would make a fine gift for any Bulova collector or watch aficionado.
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
