A handsome 1953 Bulova "Delegate" men's wristwatch, featuring a 21 jewel 10BM movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
One of the rarer models of the Fifties, this Delegate has been well cared for over the decades. The polished 10k RGP case is in very good condition, with bold, sweeping lugs and a unique faceted design that easily catches sunlight. The dial is also in excellent shape, with reflective gold indices, polished gold Dauphine hands, and the Bulova logo remains crisply legible. The crystal has been hand ground and polished and only a few imperfections remain. The signed crown has ample grip and it winds and sets easily.
The matching RGP caseback is in good condition and it snaps firmly to the case, as it should. The 10BM movement is highly accurate and has a healthy amplitude. The Delegate comes on new-old stock leather bands in a deep mahogany hue that accents the case nicely. Overall, this is an uncommon, early-Fifties Delegate with a high-end 21 jewel movement.
