A 1953 Bulova Ambassador featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel 10BM movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated.
This quadruple-signed Ambassador has been very well cared for over the decades! The 10k rolled gold plated case (25.4mm excluding the signed crown) is in very good condition with only the faintest age wear. The signed crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. The dial is exceptional; a deep silver central field surrounded by pale cream, reflective gold numerals and arrowhead markers. All Bulova logo is crisp and bold and the Dauphine hands are a lovely polished gold. The crystal has been polished and a few minor imperfections remain.
The 10BM movement is highly accurate, with a healthy amplitude it keeps time accurately The caseback is in very good condition with very minimal age wear and all date codes match. The watch comes on lightly padded and stitched black leather bands with a matching gold buckle. With its uniquely styled case and stand-out dial, this handsome Ambassador is a wonderful example of Fifties 5th Avenue design; effortlessly stylish, exceptionally accurate, and always memorable.
