This Hamilton "Clyde" has a classic Fifties vibe. The 10k gold filled Wadsworth-made case is in very good condition, with light to average age wear. The sterling silver dial has light patination, the gold alpha style hands look great, and the solid 18k gold applied indices match the case. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. There is some light scuffing to the caseback but it's not visible while worn and doesn't affect integrity.

Inside, the 17 jewel calibre 747 movement is in immaculate condition. With a high amplitude, it keeps time quite accurately. The "Clyde" comes on new, padded and stitched oilskin leather straps (18mm). They're very comfortable and they accent the case quite nicely. Overall, this early-Fifties Hamilton "Clyde" is a wonderful example of Golden Age American style.
