A 1950's Mido Multifort "Grand Luxe" automatic watch. Featuring a 17 jewel calibre calibre 0917P movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This Mido Multifort is an exceeding handsome timepiece. The 10k gold plated case (31.0mm excluding the SIGNED crown) is in very good condition, with light to average age wear. It is clean, lightly polished, and has sturdy, drilled lugs. All dial print is pristine, the Mido logo and "Grand Luxe" designation are all crisply legible. The gold Alpha hands and fil sweep second hand are clean and in very good condition. All of this is perfectly preserved beneath the newly installed Germanow-Simon crystal. The signed crown has plenty of grip and it winds and sets easily.
Inside, the cal. 1917P movement is clean and properly lubricated. The automatic assembly quietly winds the watch while you wear it, though manual winding is both safe and encouraged. The watch has been regulated to within +/-10 seconds per day, keeping time with great accuracy, as you'd expect. The watch comes on new, padded and stitched brown leather bands by DeBeer, Paris. No effort or expense was spared in overhauling this Mido Multifort. A wonderful example of Swiss style and engineering in the mid-Twentieth Century, it's bound to become your next favorite watch!
