A stunning 1950's Benrus steel watch, featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel ETA 1080 movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
With its clean contours and sweeping lugs, this is one head-turning Benrus! The stainless steel case (31.4mm excluding the crown) is in very good condition. The dial is pristine, it looks as though it was made yesterday! The Benrus logo is crisply legible, and the blued steel syringe hands look amazing. Each hour marker has its original lume and its 24 hour counterpart printed in vivid red.
The polished steel case is in very good condition, with minimal age wear. The movement is exceptionally clean and has clearly been well cared for. The watch has a healthy amplitude, thanks to a new mainspring, and it is highly accurate. The watch is mounted on a pair of new old-stock lizard calf leather bands by Kreisler. Overall, this exceptionally accurate and handsome mid-Fifties Benrus easily balances military time with civilian life and does so with a panache that's impossible to ignore!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
