1950 Tissot Antimagnetic Watch

A vintage 1950 Tissot Antimagnetic men's watch, featuring a Swiss-made 17 jewel calibre 27B-2 movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.

A model classic dress watch, this Tissot! As with nearly all Antimagnetique watches, there is evident brassing near the lugs. Collectors know this was the price that was paid to make a magnetism resistant wristwatch. The classic Fifties-styled dial is pristine and well-protected beneath the new Germanow-Simon crystal that was installed during the overhaul. The Tissot logo and antimagnetic designation are crisp and clearly legible. The elongated, gold leaf hands brilliantly reflect sunlight. I truly cannot overstate just how clean and minty the dial is on this Tissot.

The mushroom crown is in very good condition and it winds and sets easily. Inside, the cal. 27B-2 movement is exceptionally accurate with amplitude to spare. The Tissot comes on genuine lizard calf leather bands that accent the case hue perfectly. Overall, this Tissot Antimagnetic has clearly been well-cared for over the decades, as accurate as it is stylish. Peeking out from beneath a cuff, it would make an exceptional dress watch for anyone.
