A handsome 1948 Bulova "Broker" men's wristwatch, featuring a 17 jewel 8AH movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
The Broker is one of the more uncommon Bulova models of the Forties and this one is running like a top. The 10k RGP case (20.6mm by 29.2mm excluding crown and lugs) is in very good shape, with intricate scrollwork along the bezel and very light age wear. The dial is in surprisingly good condition for its age, with light patination, reflective gold numerals, and the Bulova logo is crisply legible. During the overhaul, I installed a brand new Germanow-Simon crystal and it looks amazing! I'll include the old crystal and its envelope along with the watch for your records.
The steel caseback is in fine condition and it snaps firmly to the case, as it should. The 8AH movement is highly accurate and has a healthy amplitude thanks to the new mainspring I installed. The Broker comes on black, genuine leather bands that accent the case nicely. Rarely found these days and hardly ever in such fine condition, here's your chance to add a Broker to your Bulova collection!
