A stunning 1948 Banner Datofix triple calendar watch with moon phase complication, featuring a Swiss made 17 jewel Record 107CLD movement that has been serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This late-Forties Banner is in exceptional condition for its age! The polished red gold case is in very good condition, with only faint plate loss at the top of the upper lugs. The dial has light patination and is well-preserved beneath the newly installed crystal. Gold leaf-style hands mark the hours and minutes. The red-tipped date hand clicks over at midnight, as does the day indicator. The moon phase disc is perfect, in vivid blue and reflective gold. Each function has a corresponding pusher and all pushers function as they should. The crown has ample grip and it winds and sets easily.
The movement is made by the Record Watch Company, renowned for their Datofix line of watches. It's a Record 107CLD and I've spared no expense during the overhaul, installing a new clutch wheel, winding pinion, mainspring, and stem. It has been serviced and keeps time with great accuracy. The Banner comes on black leatherette bands with a matching buckle. These watches rarely exit private collections and to find one in this condition is remarkable.
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
