A handsome 1947 Bulova Arnold men's wristwatch, featuring a 15 jewel 10BC movement that has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
Often mistaken for the more common Cadet and Lieutenant models, the Arnold is rarely found these days. This one is running like a top, thanks to the new, alloy mainspring that was just installed. The 10k RGP case (26.5mm by 29.2mm excluding crown and lugs) is in very good shape, with light to average age wear. The dial has moderate wear but all numerals are reflective gold and and dial print is crisp and legible. The crystal has been hand ground and polished and looks phenomenal.
The steel caseback is in fine condition and it snaps firmly to the case, as it should. The 10BC movement is quite accurate with a healthy amplitude and robust design. The Arnold comes on tapered, genuine crocodile calf leather bands in a rich mahogany hue that accents the case nicely. Overall, this Arnold has been around a while but it's been well cared for and the 10BC workhorse movement is ready to keep time for generations to come.
