A 1945-1947 Benrus men's watch, featuring a 15 jewel Benrus BB3 movement that has been inspected, fully serviced and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
This eye catching mid-Forties Benrus is in exceptional shape for its age! The polished, gold plated tonneau case has light to average age wear. The concealed lugs are a nice touch, lending a fluid contour to the wrist. The salmon-centered dial is pristine, with unmistakably 1940's indices and the Breguet/Moon hands are the icing on the cake. The stainless steel caseback bears an inscription reading, "BHT to RT, 4-20-47". It has light age wear and it snaps firmly shut to the case.
The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets effortlessly. The workhorse BB3 movement has clearly been looked after over the decades. A brand new mainspring was installed during the overhaul, giving the watch a healthy amplitude. Regulated in positions, the watch keeps time accurately, as you'd expect. The watch comes on new, lizard grain genuine leather bands in a deep mahogany hue that accents the case perfectly. Overall, this is a devilishly handsome War Years Benrus that would look perfect peeking out from beneath the cuff.
