The classic panda Swiss chronograph, featuring a Landeron 48 movement that has been inspected, regulated and tested to ensure accuracy.
The case is in good shape, with the light plating loss that is nearly always found on chronographs of this era. The telemeter dial is absolutely gorgeous, all print is crisply legible. The gold index hands are also in excellent condition, not a single speck of lume is missing. All chrono functions work flawlessly: press the 2 o'clock pusher once and the chronograph second hand instantly begins moving. Press the 4 o'clock pusher to pause, then press it again and the hands snap back to 12 precisely.
The Landeron 48 was introduced in 1937 and it powered so many of the chronographs that were incredibly popular during the 1940's. This one has been inspected, serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy. A new mainspring was installed during the overhaul, giving the watch a healthy amplitude.
The stainless steel caseback is in very good condition with light age wear. The crown has ample grip and it winds and sets effortlessly. The watch comes on 16mm genuine leather bands with a matching silver buckle.
With its beautifully preserved dial, and robust Landeron movement, this Thoresen chronograph will quickly find a place in your rotation!
