A handsome 1940's Rensie men's wristwatch, featuring a 17 jewel mechanical movement by Fabrique d’Ebauches de Fleurier. The movement has been inspected, fully serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
Here's an unusual find, a mid-1940's Rensie watch in superb condition for its age! The 10k rolled gold plated case measures 22.6mm wide by 27.5mm tall. The pale cream-hued dial is pristine, with gold Breguet numerals, black enameled leaf hands and a recessed small seconds dial. The original mineral glass crystal has been cleaned, hand polished, and reinstalled using G-S Hypo Cement. It is 100% blemish free and has done an excellent job protecting that dial.
The caseback snaps in tightly, as it should. Inside, the 17 jewel FEF 170 movement is clean and properly lubricated. With a healthy amplitude and nominal beat error, it averages +/- 10 seconds per day; not half bad for an 80 year old! The watch comes on 16mm genuine leather bands by Hadley Roma. They are practically new and accent the case tone nicely. Overall, this is an impeccably preserved mid-Forties watch from one of the earlier importers of Alpina among others. His surname (Eisner) was already trademarked, so he spelled it backwards, thus the Rensie watch before you today!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
