Servicing a 1958 Bulova 23 Calendar Watch

I love these late-Fifties Bulova 23 Calendar watches. The 10k gold filled case is tastefully elegant, with sweeping horned lugs. Clocking in at 34.2mm, it's sized similarly to its contemporary cousins. Inside, the 10BPAD automatic movement has clearly been well cared for over the decades. Upon arrival, it was clear it was overdue for a service, the timegrapher readings showed an amplitude of only 242°. Take a look at the photos to see how it turned out!

Pre-service reading: -34 seconds per day, 242° amplitude and 2.6ms beat error

Ratchet wheel, crown wheel, crown wheel center and click parts removed.

A healthy amplitude and low beat error, I'll begin regulating it in positions 24 hours from now.
